When delivering dink shots, you should keep your head down through the whole motion. Hit the ball at the middle of your paddle.
An ideal dink should reach the height of its arc before reaching the net, and be on its way down as it crosses the net.
Try to dink at a sharp angle, to the left or right, rather than straight across the net.
After dinking the ball, do not look up, wait a beat before you lift your head up.
If you look up early and do not watch the ball hit the middle of your paddle, the ball drops to the bottom of your paddle and will likely hit the net.
When you watch the ball hit your paddle on every shot, you have a 90% chance of getting the ball over the net.
Focus on keeping the ball in play, waiting for your opponent to make a mistake. Don't rush, let the odds work for you. Three out of every four points won are unforced errors by one of the teams.
