"Out" calls should be promptly signaled by voice and may include a hand signal, regardless of how obviously the ball is "out."
Finger pointing straight upwards, or pointing in the direction of the out-of-bounds ball path.
Finger pointing downward towards the court.
Don't use the "Thumbs Up" sign to signal "In." (From a distance, it looks like the finger-pointing-up "Out" signal.)
No "In" calls should be made
while the ball is in play.
